How to look after cut flowers
Use a non metal container.
Use fresh luke-warm water. This helps the flowers hydrate quickly if they have been out of water for a while. Once hydrated you can top up with cold water.
Add cut flower food to the water and a dash of Jik or Miltons to help prevent bacteria growth.
Strip any leaves that will be under the water line and any damaged leaves. Plants don't know that we are more interested in the flower than the foliage so it spends equal amounts of energy keeping both alive. The more unnecessary leaves that are removed the more energy it will have for the flower.
Trim 2cm from the bottom of the stems at a 45 degree angle. This gives a bigger surface for water absorption. Place the stems into the prepared water directly after trimming.
Top up the vase with fresh water daily and replace the water entirely every 3-4 days. When replacing the water trim a small amount off the bottom of each stem again to refresh the cut.
Keep away from draughts, direct sunlight and heat.
One of the biggest errors of grocery store flowers is their proximity to fresh fruit. Flowers and Ethelene gas, emitted from ripening fruit, do not mix, this natural hormone in gas form causes premature aging and can contribute to bent necks. Fruits are however not the only culprits, cigarette smoke contains ethylene as well. Place your flower arrangement well away from any fresh fruit.

All images are a guide to style and content. I work hard to deliver the flowers you desire but flowers are seasonal and subject to availability. If I am unable to source a flower then I will substitute with something similar and make the arrangement just a spectacular. If the design is going to be significantly different due to flower shortages or seasonal changes, I will contact you to let you know.
I use only the freshest and highest quality flowers, fruit and edibles available. To offer the freshest products, flowers, fruit and edibles are bought fresh every morning for that days arrangements. I do not keep stock on hand which is why I do not do same day deliveries.
Flowers for Valentines day are subject to radical price changes, especially for red roses. Other peak days such as Mothers day, Secretaries day and Christmas are subject to moderate price changes, therefore the prices on this website will not apply during the week leading up to these days.
Any complaints must be made within 24 hours of delivery.
