Many years ago I received my National Diploma in Graphic Design but I soon realised that sitting behind a computer was not for me. I love being outside, working in the garden, building things, creating, using my hands.

 

After 20 years in the graphics industry an opportunity came along to buy a flower shop, with absolutely no experience I jumped in and took my creativity into a new field.

In my first few weeks I had to learn a lot about flowers as I was never one to buy them or have them in my home. I went on courses, had a devine old lady, Saartjie, impart years of her knowledge on me and grew. After 10 years there is still so much to learn but I do believe that I can create some beautiful arrangements now.

In 2025 I decided to close my walk in shop and focus on creating arrangements, bouquets and hampers from my studio at home.
